This one is for my buddy fire-tisane, lol. Cause I know we're both such Street Fighter and Capcom fanboys.
We're both working on our Capcom/SNK collaborations, and he gets to draw the Capcom side, cause he's more comfortable with the Street Fighter characters than the SNK ones.
Since, I'm waiting for him to finish up work on our next collaboration, I decided to draw a sketch of Sagat in the meantime to keep in practice, lol. I've always like Sagat as a character, even though Ryu did beat him in the first Street Fighter tournament, Sagat wasn't just the usual cardboard cut out villain.
In his own way, he's very honourable and strives to improve his skills, so that one day he can challenge Ryu again and avenge his previous loss to him. So this pose finds Sagat standing in a bamboo forest, during a break in his training, remembering the scar on his chest that Ryu left him with, to remind him of what he's training for.
Hey Inkspired, to be honest, I've drawn that worm's eye view angle so many times, that it's become second nature to me at this point, lol.
It's lots of fun to draw and adds so much more of a psychological aspect to your drawing, making the figure seem even more larger than life than usual.
This is hard to draw but you pulled it off quite well!
