This is a pin up, I did for my friends working on the awesome and great book, called Kill Shakespeare from IDW. If you haven't already checked it out, you should give it a try, at your local comic book store. Well worth your time, and a top notch production from start to finish.

This picture features Hamlet and Falstaff enjoying a fine pint of ale, having a marvelous time with 2 fine maidens, with no fear of Richard the Third's soldiers will to them. The idea, was to show how little the characters cared about Richard's soldiers. In the background, yes, that is William Shakespeare looking away, at their behaviour. Hopefully, it worked and it looks good to you all, Marvin.

Hahahaha, thanks MeltLteddy, I do my best, lol. I was just lucky that due to the subject matter of Kill Shakespeare, it allowed me to draw William Shakespeare to facepalm himself, seeing his 2 characters, behaving the way they are, lol....

William Shakespeare: *facepalm*

He must be so proud. lol
Very cool escene, man. The only thing that bothers me a little is that sword cutting the picture in half. =/ Still, great job!

Hahahaha, that whole William Shakespeare facepalming, was a spur of the moment idea. Originally in the background between Hamlet and Falstaff, there was going to be just wood paneling; so I needed something to fill the space, that would be interesting, but not take away from the moment.

I know the sword placement could have been better on my part, but I wanted to show through imagery that one of Richard the Third's soldiers is symbolically doing what Richard himself wants to do, which is to hold a sword at Shakespeare's throat, as he does in the picture. I think that may be the artiste side of me, rearing it's ugly head slightly, lol.

It's just one of things you always want to try, in terms of layering symbols and more meaning to the actual drawing.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it just utterly falls flat on it's face, lol. Just something I've been experimenting with, as I listen to more commentaries from various film directors about their own projects.
