Hey all, the above drawings were done as a portfolio piece for a company that does Marvel sketch cards. This was my first attempt at actually trying to draw sketch cards. Personally speaking, I enjoyed myself doing them.

The size of the cards, at 2.5" x 3.5" took a bit of getting used, especially after drawing on 11" x 17" art boards for such a long time. But I like to think I did alright, in the end, they turned out pretty good I think.

I always pride myself on attempting to capture the essence of the character in a shot, so you can see and recognize, who or what the character is. I pretty much used pencil, pigment liners to do the inking and some coloured markers to do the rest.

So enjoy, and for those of you that have done sketch cards before, by all means I'd love to hear some advice.
