Being born a Canadian, it is sad to say that I've never personally drawn a pin up featuring Canada's premier superhero, Captain Canuck. This is the original Captain Canuck, Tom Evans, who gained his powers from contact with extraterrestrials.

Thankfully, thanks to :icontheambushbug: and the Captain Canuck 35th Anniversary Art Contest [link] , he has going on, this was my opportunity.

The framing I will take credit for, however the aliens design was done on the fly, as I was drawing the piece.

So, it was a combination of some ideas, I had about what aliens would look like. As for the colour of the aliens, that came out of wanting them not to blend in with Captain Canuck or the background. So hopefully it worked out in the end.
